how it started
Stuck at home during the pandemic, I burned through corporate candles but felt something was missing – the scents just didn’t hit the mark. So, I took matters into my own hands, experimenting with fragrances and making candles as gifts for friends and family. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passion for perfecting scent throw and burn.
Fast forward, Goa Home Studio now offers a collection of affordable, handmade lifestyle products crafted from all-natural ingredients. Hey there! I’m Vaishakh, and I’ve spent the last 18 years diving into the world of sales and business development. I kicked things off as a junior sales exec in Dubai and worked my way up through the luxury FMCG sector. After moving to India, I jumped into the craft beer scene as a national sales manager and then co-founded a whisky startup. I’m all about telling great stories and building brands from scratch—it’s where I find the most joy.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me cheering on my favorite football team, exploring new places, or indulging in delicious food. I love meeting new people, creating memorable experiences, and adding a bit of fun to everything I do.
One of my favorite achievements has been turning an idea into reality with Goa Home Studio, which started as a casual brainstorm with Rijo and grew into something we’re both passionate about. Right now, Goa Home Studio is my big focus, and I’m pumped about growing it into a go-to name for affordable luxury in home fragrances.
